AI’s impact on India’s recruitment landscape – Expectations and Beliefs
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is poised to transform India’s recruitment scene, with a growing consensus among employers and job seekers. A report by global job site Indeed has highlighted the expectations and beliefs surrounding AI’s role in job creation, task enhancement, and job security.

The report reveals that 85% of employers anticipate AI’s ability to create new job opportunities within the next 1-5 years. Additionally, 85% believe that AI can substantially improve the nature of employees’ tasks. Furthermore, 77% of employers see AI as a catalyst for enhancing job security and providing more significant career development prospects. These findings underscore the positive outlook among employers regarding AI’s potential contributions.
Fostering Technological Advancement
Sashi Kumar, Head of Sales at Indeed India, while speaking to PTI, emphasized the need for employers to work collaboratively in devising frameworks for the effective use of AI. Kumar said that while job seekers are eager to welcome AI, it is the responsibility of employers to facilitate the seamless integration of AI technologies and foster technological advancement.
